NOVEMBER: Sandy Rohrbach will teach this cute acrylic project. Gourds will be available through the chapter. Lynda Goodman or Bea Peterson
Preparation for Gourdy Gobbler
Scrub gourd thoroughly with soap and water , tap running as you scrub. Dry completely. Fill imperfections with wood putty. Apply 2 coats of gesso, sanding after each coat. A smooth surface is easier to put the pattern on and to paint on. Draw lines to separate the turkey from the pumpkin. See photo- turkey is inside cut pumpkin with zig zag edge.Using a natural sea sponge, pounce the pumpkin area with tangerine and spice brown, Top sponge with butter cream, them raw sienna. Shade top half with spice brown along dividing lines. Transfer the leaves and berries. Final picture and instructions available at class.
