Manatee Haven Painters –
June is going to be a fun meeting. Jan Bittner is doing
a workshop for us that is a beautiful reverse glass
project of an amaryllis and butterfly. You need to have
your glass “inked” before class. If you need help
contact Jan. We will not be having a formal meeting but
please bring your raffle money as we will have a raffle
during lunch time.
The books are coming in for the book sale in Jan. 2010.
Remember you will get raffle tickets for the books you
donate and the raffle will be for an Autograph reducer
and enlarger plus ˝ price seminar in September with Jill
McFarland.
Our participation in the first auction held by Stirrups
‘n Strides Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. was a big
success. They were trying to raise $5000. and the final
total was $6000. Needless to say they were pleased and
want us to enter next year if they do this project
again.
Ocala Decorative Artists and Manatee Haven Decorative
Artists total contribution was $1240.
Our 10th anniversary celebration was a big success.
Thank you again for all the help.
I do want to remind you that we need to consider
positions on our board and committees that are coming
available in 2010. I hope when you are called on you
will consider giving the Manatee Haven Decorative
Artists a commitment. If I can do it you can too!!! We
all get together and help each other on all levels so
even if you have not held a position before you need to
give it a try.
